Mason Shipley is a standout placekicker and a trainee of Scott Blanton who transitioned an elite collegiate career into an opportunity with the NFL's New Orleans Saints. A product of Liberty Hill High School in Texas, he built a highly decorated resume across his time at Texas State and the University of Texas. During his standout 2023 season with the Bobcats, Shipley was named a Lou Groza Award semifinalist after going a perfect 15-for-15 on field goals, and he later set a program and Sun Belt Conference record by booting a massive 60-yard field goal. He finished his college career as the starting kicker for the Texas Longhorns, demonstrating his elite in-game composure by hitting a game-winning 45-yard overtime field goal against Kentucky and cementing his reputation for precision and leg strength on the Division I stage.
